gym diary entry of the day ~

I treated myself to some new gym clothes. I'm surprised I haven't bought a lot of gym clothes in the past 2 years. I pretty much find what I like on Amazon, and they last. Got 2 new colours of the shorts I like. I got 4 colours of this sports bra and I am LOVING it. I did my makeup, and I felt so confident 😎 you don't gotta spend a lot on gym clothes unless you want to. I am a big believer in when you feel and look good, you lift and train heavier 🤭

Also, I've been weighing myself almost weekly, sometimes every other week, and my weight is going down. I feel my muscles coming back again. I got more excited abt my muscles lol.

Ngl tho, I was FIGHTING for my life with today's glute-biased day. I think I didn't fuel myself enough before my workout. I was feeling dizzy and extremely fatigued. I had to go slow. I also think it's the energy drink I've been taking. I won't be getting the brand again. The crash hit me HARD and fast. I definitely kept myself hydrated throughout the workout. And I skipped cardio today.

Finally, I noticed that there has been a significant difference between the left and right sides of my body when I work out. I feel more of the workout on my left. The left side of my body is more toned. I don't feel my workouts as much on my right side (non-dominant side). I feel like sometimes I have to go heavier on my right, which I haven't tried yet. Lately, I have been doing one-sided versions of some exercises I already do so I can focus more on my right side, and I feel like it's working. I also notice that there are days when I can go heavy and feel it in my muscles. Then there are days when I have to go lighter to feel it in my muscles. It's confusing, and I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong bc of the inconsistencies.

I was killing the gym in February, but March has been a bit of a struggle. I have been picking up overtime. In the past set of 5 shifts, I did three 16-hour shifts. Two of those were back-to-back. I'm being hard in myself for not going to the gym as much, but I know I need to rest if I wanna recover.

That is pretty much how fitness has been for me lately.
